Let’s select the Working times option and if the times prompted by Project are suitable we will confirm by clicking on OK.

If we go back and look at John Smith’s calendar

we will see that 26th December is marked in bold characters with a light blue background and, if we move the pointer over the 26, Project will show us the exception on that day.

6.5 Using notes for the resources

As for the tasks, also for the resources notes can be added. It’s useful to add notes about the resource availability, exceptions, reviews to be carried out and so on.

In a large project or with many resources the note on the resource is the right place where the Project Manager can enter remarks that can be useful for all the others that are using the project plan.

To enter a note is sufficient to double click on the resource’s name, when the Resource Information dialog box is displayed on the screen click on the Note Tab and enter the text.
